This section describes the backup rules and backup scenarios of eSight. The backup scenarios must meet the backup principle requirements.

Before backing up data, you need to understand the following:

• Perform full backup before the eSight goes online (baseline backup).
• It is recommended that key configuration files and database tables be backed up by week.
• It is recommended that key configuration files be stored for 90 days and key database tables be stored for 30 days.

Notes : The key configuration files and database tables to be backed up are configured by default during eSight installation. For the backup operation, see Automatic Backup or Immediate Backup.
